In case you like to work back to front, here's a quick click to go straight to the bottom of the page.

Elaine's mentor,
Senior Level IV Clinician, Sally Haney,
did return to Washington this year!

Over Labor Day Weekend, Sally taught an open clinic that was fantastic!
Each day included two group lessons, unmounted work, a supervised practice and unlimited socializing. A great time was had by all!

As a bonus, private lessons were available before and after the clinic. This was a unique opportunity for each of us to have Sally's undivided attention as all her prior clinics at RRR have been updates.

We are looking forward to similar clinics to be held at
Rhodes River Ranch
Arlington, WA

A SPECIAL NOTE:

Phil and Elaine are putting on some new hats and are working on a video project. We'll let you know as we get closer to going live with the evidence of this labor of love.
Meanwhile, we've made a lot of discoveries:

Our horse, Bud, is a real ham for the camera.
Phil is just as crazy about taking video as he was with stills.
Elaine is reliving the excitement when her parents went to school in film production.
Brett thinks the shotgun mic not only looks like a rat, but really is a rat.
Our family and friends are really tolerant of our obsession with this thing. And supportive, too!

Most of all we have much thanks for the wonderful help and advice we've received.

We especially acknowledge and give great thanks to Jean Rhodes of Rhodes River Ranch for believing in this video project enough to jump on board as our first sponsor.

Centered Riding featured monthly at
Rhodes River Ranch

Centered Riding® is a body centered approach that will deepen your understanding and enjoyment of the horse and rider partnership. And there is no better place for this Centered Riding® workshop than the beautiful surroundings of Rhodes River Ranch.

Each month, Elaine Meredith Steele, Level IV Apprentice Centered Riding® Clinician, comes with a new monthly theme. This allows her to teach riders of all ages, abilities, disciplines, and experience with Centered Riding. Each Friday evening's lecture features a fantastic meal by the ranch chef and unmounted awareness exercises dedicated to exploring the monthly theme. Then the clinic lessons connect the details of the theme while horseback riding.

Plan to come monthly to Arlington WA for 3-day weekends of Centered Riding® instruction. Schedule a lesson every day or more. Start with a private to work on your personal issues and then join group lessons to bring this new awareness of yourself into practice. Gather your friends into group lessons and string the lessons throughout the weekend to make your own mini-clinic. For regular students we hold a "Sunday Funday Finale" where we apply new skills while playing games on horseback or riding drill team formations.

The sessions take place in the ranch's spacious indoor arena or in the huge outdoor arena weather permitting. For information call (360) 474-8313, and ask for Tammy or email info@rhodesriverranch.com.

Elaine attends Tom's clinics regularly and has completed twelve of the Zen Therapy Recipe Bodywork Sessions plus additional Rider's Tune Ups : "It is great to get continued tune-ups and especially to confirm the extent of the physical improvements the bodywork has helped me to achieve. This directly relates to maintaining my skills and comfort level, both on and off the horse."

Vitor Silva came to RRR in the spring. Wow, did he get us all thinking!

The rides were challenging and Vitor demonstrated the importance of riding always with the intent to keep our horses fit.
