The Spokane Centered Riding Winter Series is up and running at Heritage Farms.

This is a nice indoor with great footing and has a comfortable meeting / lunch room, too! Check the schedule, give Kathy a call and come join in on the fun.

Phil and Elaine completed a four day Centered Riding Alumni Update in September of 2003 with Sally Haney. This was also the first portion of Elaine's required apprenticeship hours.

Professional Photographer, Sherri Meyer caught some great shots. To catch some of the fun yourself, feel free to visit her site:

Elaine has been accepted into Centered Riding's Apprenticeship Program

Since 1992 Elaine has advanced through Instructor Levels I, II and III to her current position as an apprentice to become Level IV, the highest level. Out of 315 instructors worldwide that are skilled in teaching with Centered Riding® Techniques, she is one of 37 that have qualified to teach clinics endorsed by Centered Riding®, Inc. Upon completion and approval of her apprenticeship, which Elaine estimates will take about three years, she will join the 15 Level IVs sanctioned to train instructors.

Phil and Elaine returned to the Back Country Horseman’s 2003 Rendezvous in Yakima.

The Rendezvous program had a great picture of all of you "cantering" in the round pen last May. This year Elaine taught in the Main Arena on Saturday and Sunday, with each session highlighting the Four Basics of Centered Riding® and exhibiting the practical applications of Centered Riding® Techniques through demonstration lessons. It was fun to see what happens to the horse when we "train the rider". There were also great horse training demonstrations by Josh Lyons, Johnny Clark and Dianne Mortenson.

Thanks to all of you who stopped by to visit with Elaine and Phil at their booth!
